Reds end wait for victory with 4-0 away win

BARNSLEY gained their first win since the opening day of the season with a 4-0 success at Sheffield Hallam.

The Reds have now won two, lost two and drawn one in the Peak and World Division One.

Chris Shaw scored a fine opener after good work by Rob McCarthy then, seconds later, it was 2-0 as Adam Poskitt netted after a rampaging run out of defence including a one, two with Connor Massey.

Bryce Tuckett made it 3-0 before the break with a powerful shot.

New signing Tom Johnson completed the rout after another one, two with Massey.

Poskitt was named man of the match. The Reds are now due to host Leadenham tomorrow from 12pm.
