Chaplain Pete retires
BARNSLEY FC club chaplain Pete Amos has retired after 27 years in the role.
From the North East originally, Pete moved to South Yorkshire to be minister at Ward Green Methodist Church before taking the role at Oakwell in 1995. A popular figure, he prayed for promotion to the top flight in 1997 and has raised money for charity by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. He has been replaced by Zac Zacharia.
