13 deaths due to Covid in October

THIRTEEN residents died within 28 days of a positive Covid test in October.

The death toll now stands at 1,192 from the virus, with it being 1,179 at the start of October.

Barnsley has the second-highest death rate in the country, with it standing at 480.5 per 100,000 residents.
