‘Broadband is now necessity’

BARNSLEY East MP Stephanie Peacock spoke in parliament last week to say that access to broadband is a ‘necessity, not a luxury’.

She said: “Labour stand firmly behind the aim of improving the roll out of digital connectivity in this day and age is a necessity, not a luxury.

“In order to participate in society, from banking to shopping, education to using public services, access to the digital world is crucial for people of all ages and in every corner of this country.”
