Talented trio to perform emotional tribute song
ONE of the highlights of the Proud of Barnsley presentation night is the special tribute performance where we remember the people who have died since last year’s ceremony.
At this year’s event – on Friday at the Metrodome Arena – the tribute will be performed by a very talented trio.
Hannah Rowe – who appeared on TV talent show The Voice earlier this year – will team up with Tom Masters and Georgey Bennett to sing ‘Fields of Gold’ in a special arrangement by Barnsley Youth Choir musical director, Mat Wright.
Barnsley Chronicle editor Andrew Harrod said: “While the awards are about celebrating the achievements of our local heroes, they are also about remembering the people we have lost in the last year.”
