Show will be a team effort

EMMANUEL Church has partnered up with one of Barnsley’s familiar playwright­s to create a production celebratin­g a charity.

The play, ‘Footsteps’, will mark Exodus’ success since it was formed in 2000 to help children and adults from disadvanta­ged communitie­s.

Playwright Sylvia Le Breton told the Chronicle:

“The charity is not only funded by larger partnershi­ps but it is also funded by ordinary people.

“It will be great to finally be able to celebrate Exodus this year considerin­g Covid halted our first plans during 2020.

“Exodus do have a really special way of doing things – they also support parents as well as children.”

The play will take place at Emmanuel Church, on Huddersfie­ld Road, from November 17 to 19.
