World Championships medal haul in Turkey
ATHLETES from Combat Academy in Barugh Green enjoyed great success at the International Sport Karate and Kickboxing Association World Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
The squad of 18, with ages ranging from ten to 27, won 12 golds, 11 silvers and ten bronzes with competitors from 23 nations in attendance.
Rosie Longley collected four golds and a bronze, Jack Boast went unbeaten and took two golds, and the other gold medalists were Riley Anderson, Guyvin Dawkins, Taylor Bowen, Charlie Herbert and Ruby Dickinson.
Others competing were Riley Clugston, Jake Allott, Leyton Utley, Jay Coulson, Mason Decaro, Harvey Bowen, Mason Methley, Max Emeny, Tyler Stear, Aidan Simpson and Joe Harrison.
