It’s fair to say the season has not been even close to expectations. In fact, at this point, they’ve fallen well short of where anyone at MK Dons wanted to be.

Of course, with losing key players and bringing in 14 new faces, it was always going to take time for it to work.

It has been a tough slog, some pretty dank performances and nights we’d all like to forget, but if feels like, in the last month, things have taken a turn.

Liam Manning has found a system that appears to be working, the players are looking as though they’re reading the same book now, and are even on the same chapter if not the same page just yet. They’re certainly not as bad as their league position would suggest, but they’re in desperate need of points heading to Oakwell.
