Celebration for musical kids

-

BARNSLEY’S children and young people will be celebrated for their musical talents later this month.

November 28 will see the return of Barnsley Music Education Hub’s annual winter celebration.

Held at The Civic from 6.30pm, the musical showcase will reveal the best of what Barnsley has to offer.

Residents are invited to celebrate the ‘incredible musical talent’ in Barnsley, as the council brings together a mix of virtual and live performances.

This year’s event will feature school choirs, wind bands, rock and pop performers.

Coun Robert Frost, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture, said: “We’re thrilled to see the return of Barnsley’s finest young musicians to The Civic stage.

“Every performer has worked hard to hone their skills and to see them play at a professional venue is something special.

“Barnsley is a place that fosters growth and ambition, and we are extremely proud of all the young people who have worked with Barnsley Music Hub this year.

“I encourage everyone to snap up tickets and support our young music makers at The Civic.”
