Two pop-up Covid vaccine clinics

TWO pop-up clinics for people wishing to have a Covid-19 vaccinatio­n have been announced.

Grimethorp­e Library, on High Street, will host one from 10am while 2pm today, while The Worsbrough Centre, on Powell Street, will welcome patients on Tuesday at the same times.

A council spokespers­on said: “You don’t need an appointmen­t or be registered with a GP to attend these clinics.

“If you can’t make these dates or haven’t had any vaccines, call 119 to book an appointmen­t.

“You can also visit the walkin clinic at Priory Campus, Lundwood.”

Barnsley Museums has teamed up with the National Trust to host a community toy swap to help people with the cost of Christmas.

The event will take place at Wentworth Castle Gardens next Thursday and Friday, and then at the Glass Works’ museum on December 8 and 9. Residents are being encouraged to attend and swap their old toys from some new gifts.

Those donating toys to Wentworth Castle will receive free admission to explore the site.
