Three arrests made

THREE teenagers were arrested after a man was punched in the head and left unconscious.

It’s reported that at around 6pm on November 11 on Houghton Road in Thurnscoe, a 26-year-old man was assaulted and left on the pavement.

Three young boys, one aged 15 and two aged 16, were arrested in connection with the incident.

Inspector Rebecca Richardson said: “We understand the community is concerned about incidents like this which, as well as causing physical and emotional harm to victims, also cause concern and fear in the wider community.

“Our officers are carrying out proactive work in the area, so if you see us and you have concerns please come along and talk to us about them.”

An investigation is underway and anybody with information should contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 870 of November 11.
