Holiday camps put on by football club

BARNSLEY FC’s charity will host multi-sports camps for children this Christmas.

Reds in the Community, in partnership with Good Food Barnsley, will support families through the Healthy Holidays programme.

A spokesperson said: “Healthy Holidays is about supporting families.

“Especially if they need extra help to access food and things to do to keep their children healthy and active through the school holidays.

“We will be delivering the programme at 5ives, a sports club in Kendray and Astrea Academy Dearne, Goldthorpe each day between 10am and 2pm.

“Children who receive free school meals as they receive certain benefits can get a free place at our Healthy Holidays clubs.

“The clubs run for a minimum of four hours per day.

“All participants will receive a delicious nutritional lunch catered by Direct Food Services Goldthorpe

“Our qualified coaches will deliver fun and educational practices, exciting competitions in a range of different sports and activities.”
