Support offered

BARNSLEY Council has produced guidance on gender identity to support its employees.

At last week’s full council meeting, Coun Will Fielding asked what being is doing to protect employees from a certain demographic.

Coun Chris Lamb said: “The council values diversity and inclusivity and is committed to creating a positive environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The council has produced gender identity guidance to help manage and support work place transitions.”
