Branch not at risk

HSBC are planning to close more than 100 branches next year – but the town centre site is not one of them.

The bank’s locations will be closing from April next year, following 69 branches shutting this year and 82 last year.

Barnsley’s Market Hill site will be one of the 327 branches remaining following the latest round of closures – though it has not been selected for refurbishment.
