St Paul’s Parish Church

Each Tuesday during Lent we are holding a Lent lunch between midday and 2pm either in the church or the parish centre. A light lunch is served, usually soup and rolls with a dessert. Whilst there is no charge for this event we do ask for donations. On Wednesday we will be holding our weekly places of welcome meeting midday-2pm, this is an opportunit­y to share light hospitalit­y in a warm and friendly space. There is no charge for this event. Mass times for next week are: Tuesday rosary at 6.15pm, Tuesday mass at 7pm, Wednesday mass at 7pm, Thursday mass will be held at the later time of midday, Saturday mass 10am and Sunday mass 10am.

Club

Playing in the Monday Night pool league, Monk Bretton lost their first match 4-3 to Keel (Stairfoot). Team was Andrew Ashton, Ade Hutchinson, Matty Taylor, Gaz Wilmott, Glyn Ashton, Dave Nightingal­e and Neil Hogley. Poker is played every Tuesday night from 7.30pm. Thursday night is bingo from 8.30pm and entertainm­ent tomorrow is Sound and Vision on stage at 8.45pm. Sunday from 3.45pm is Fuel.

Sun

Every Friday night there is a quiz, bingo and play your cards right. Last week’s quiz was won by Amy and team who scored 22/30, disco bingo was won by Simon and Craig. Entertainm­ent this Sunday live at five is Sound and Vision.
