Ibanez EHB1000S

2020’s headless EHB design was a hit for Ibanez – so here’s the short-scale version for you. The EHB1000S and the EHB1005SMS five-string have, respectively, a 30” scale and a multiscale fretboard that starts at 30 inches and goes up to 32 inches on the low B string. Bartolini BH2 pickups and an active/passive three-band EQ bring the noise to a sumptuous-looking package.

We had the pleasure of playing this bass backstage at a Skindred gig, where bassist Dan Pugsley was kind enough to let us spend time with it. We were very impressed with its playable neck, its balance and its monster tones: this is a real contender.
