A REAL CRACKER

You’re in for a treat at Christmas Cottage

-

Set in this prime Bath village, overlooking the gorgeous Somerset countryside, you will find Christmas Cottage. Despite only being built in 1991 the owners of Christmas Cottage have recently refurbished the main key areas which now gives a super contemporary feel to this high end home.

Entering the house, you are greeted by a generous entrance hall with a staircase, as well as options to move into rooms in every direction.

To your left the spacious sitting room is calm and welcoming, with a wood-burning stove taking centre stage.

There is also access to the double garage via the living room.

In the middle is the airy dining room with french doors and access to both the kitchen and the sitting room.

Spotlights provide further subtle lightings for evening meals overlooking the horizon.

Finally, on the right is the expertly designed kitchen.

The central island and appliances such as double Siemens ovens, Bosch dishwasher and gas and electric induction hobs melt into the decor, making the Schmidt kitchen practical yet effortlessly stylish.

The entrance hall also offers a downstairs WC and a fully-equipped Schmidt utility room with built in storage.

The three rooms blend seamlessly in an open plan design with light pouring in from all angles. Stepping out of the living room or dining room bi-folds you can see for miles, past the three terrace garden with lawn and vegetable patch and onto the rolling hills. The views here are really very special.

Upstairs there are large three bedrooms on the first floor connected by a winding corridor laced with the classic wooden bannister. The master bedroom has the benefit of a picture window, excellent en-suite and dressing room.

The other two bedrooms have their own smaller walk-in-wardrobes and share a family bathroom with basin, WC, separate shower and bath.

On the top level are two cosy double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and skylights.

The top floor also has a shower room and two further rooms which have potential for a small study, dressing room or storage room.

This house is the perfect balance of chic and practical. The clean and contemporary design teamed with plenty of windows as well as french and bi-folding doors creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere for you to sit and soak up the views.

If admiring the view isn’t enough then it is just a small walk into the hills where you can disconnect from the modern world for a moment. There are plenty of gorgeous walk through uninterrupted countryside to keep you busy.

The village of South Stoke is perfect because it gives you the feel of the countryside whilst only being 3 miles from the centre of Bath.
