Launch of Bath Business Awards 2018
The Bath Chronicle today launches the new-look 2018 Bath Business Awards. The awards will celebrate the achievements and ongoing successes of companies - giving businesses in Bath the recognition they deserve. The awards, now in their seventh year, honour businesses large and small from right across the historic city and the surrounding area. And this year we have made some changes to make the awards more accessible for busy business people and entrepreneurs. Bath Chronicle editor Gavin Thompson said: “Last year’s awards night was a big success but we want to make this year even better. So we’ve listened to feedback from you and have simplified the criteria and online entry forms. We understand that time is money in business and therefore I hope this will make the awards more accessible to busy business people. “We’ve also included categories to represent some of the city’s strongest industries – including professional services, property, leisure and the creative sector. So I’m calling on those industries to really get behind these awards and shout about your successes.” Entries for the revamped awards are now open online at www.thebathbusinessawards.co.uk. If you are a local business, now is your chance to get involved. The awards are sponsored by some of the city’s leading businesses and organisations including Novia Financial, Mogers Drewett, and Bath Rugby. “Without our sponsors, this celebration of Bath business would not be possible,” said Gavin. The winners of this year’s awards will be revealed at a fabulous awards dinner at the Bath Pavilion on November 27. Nominations close on September 11 but Gavin urged businesses not to delay. “The awards are a fantastic way for business to celebrate their successes and get some muchdeserved recognition,” he said. “Bath is a forward thinking, innovative and creative city and the mix of businesses here reflects that. “We want to make sure that the positive stories from our business community are told – and their achievements and their contribution to the city celebrated. “If you are considering entering, the message is: Do it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.” He added: “We’ll be running weekly coverage of the awards - so as an inside tip the earlier you get your entry in the more likely you are to be featured in that coverage.” To be part of the awards go to www.thebathbusinessawards.co.uk
