Roll up, roll up for the greatest show on film... and help raise cash for RUH

-

The greatest show on earth is coming to Bath’s Royal Victoria Park next month courtesy of the RUH’S Forever Friends Appeal. The worldwide musical sensation – The Greatest Showman (PG) will be screened outdoors, as the highly anticipated Movie by Moonlight on Saturday, September 1. Everyone is welcome and entry is free (no tickets needed). There will be a bucket collection on the night and donations will go to the Royal United Hospitals Bath. The gates to the outdoor screening will open at 5pm and the film will start at around 8.30pm, or when it gets dark. The film, starring Hugh Jackamn, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams, celebrates the birth of show business and tells the story of a visionary who follows his hopes and dreams and rises from nothing with his marvellous circus. Laura Pearce, events and community officer for The Forever Friends Appeal said: “We are so excited to have The Greatest Showman as this year’s Movie by Moonlight. “It’s a fantastic film for all and we hope that people will bring their friends and family and enjoy an evening of musical cinema magic under the twinkling lights of Bath. “If you can come, why not wear fancy dress - Heart West Country radio presenter, Julian Jones will be hosting the night and will award a prize to the best-dressed person on the night.” All proceeds will be donated towards the appeal to help patients and their families cared for by the Royal United Hospitals Bath. Remember your blanket, there will also be local food vendors such as Fire & Brew, L J Hugs and Splitscreen Ice Cream Co onsite or you can bring a picnic (but please no glass, barbeques or knives) and snuggle up under the stars to watch this fantastic musical.
