-

Cbeebies favourite, award-winning dance and performance poetry for young audiences make up the programme at the egg this September Tom Thumb Friday 7 – Monday 10 September, various times, ages 3+ The new term at the egg theatre kicks off with the return of egg favourite and Cbeebies star Patrick Lynch with Lyngo Theatre’s new production of TOM THUMB. One night, tiny Tom overhears mum and dad talking – there’s nothing left to eat so they are going to leave him and his six brothers in the forest! Outwitting his parents, and an ogre, Tom shows everybody that even though he is small he is still mighty, as he protects his brothers, finds the treasure and makes sure they will never be hungry again. Patrick has adapted the classic fairytale, which is performed entirely on and under a kitchen table, in Lyngo’s trademark playful style with feathery spinning birds, a flying house and a portable forest!

I Wish I was a Mountain Friday 21 – Sunday 30 September, various times, ages 6+

Local performance poet and Glastonbury Poetry Slam Champion, Toby Thompson returns to the egg with the beautiful I WISH I WAS A MOUNTAIN.
