Seren, pictured with furry friend Luna, was among hundreds at Bath Cats and Dogs Home’s show on Monday which was enjoyed as much by the pooches as it was by the humans.

Four-legged friends were the star of the show at Bath Cats and Dogs Home’s annual fun day on bank holiday Monday. Hundreds of people enjoyed displays, games, stalls and tasty food many with their furry pals at the event which raised more than £21,000. Among the categories at this year’s show were best rescue, fabulous fella, loveliest lady, cutest puppy and golden oldie as well as the much-coveted best in show. Bath Cats and Dogs Home’s very own residents were also wooing the crowds hoping to attract the eye of someone wanting to give them a forever home. The team from the home enjoyed seeing many of their former residents back with their new owners. Simon Lynn, head of animal operations said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our rehomed rescue dogs return with their owners and of course to make lots of new doggie friends. You get a real sense that all those attending the event, whatever their age, love animals as much as we do, and we can’t thank everyone enough for supporting us and helping to raise lots of money for the animals in our care. ” Rachel Jones from the home thanked everyone who attended, saying: “It was brilliant to see so many people supporting the home and lots of dogs too. “All the money raised on the day will help to care for unwanted animals in our area and help us to find them new loving homes.”
