Bath Rugby scored three tries but were well beaten again by Saracens at Allianz Park. The hosts plundered eight tries and dropped two over the line as they won 50-27 and took their record to five bonus-point victories out of five. Here’s how we rated the performances of the Bath players out of 10...

7 Anthony Perenise Made an unexpected break and showed pace with it. Scrums were much more solid with the tighthead in there.

5 Jacques van Rooyen A low-key performance on his first start for the club.

5 Jack Walker Struggled to impose himself on the game.

6 Charlie Ewels Made all of his tackles – a rarity in a Bath shirt.

5 Elliott Stooke Not as prominent as in recent games.

6 Josh Bayliss Worked tirelessly as usual. Almost escaped the clutches of the defence a couple of times, got overpowered at others.

6 Francois Louw Was sharp at the breakdown in the first half. Ended up making 19 tackles – the most of any player in the game – which meant he was less effective elsewhere in the second half.

6 Paul Grant Solid but unspectacular at the back of the scrum.

7 Chris Cook Great intercept to score. Almost did it again. Missed a couple of tackles.

6 Rhys Priestland Excellent place-kicking but in defence, like most of the Bath backline, he missed too many tackles.

6 Tom Homer Scored two tries but was not good defensively and turned over several balls. Positional play better at full-back, where he is more accustomed.

6 Max Wright Looked quite lively with ball in hand. Made a first-half break but failed to pass to Louw in support. Not bad for his first Premiership start

5 Max Clark Missed five tackles and looked way off the pace in defence; having not played for the first team this season.

5 Semesa Rokoduguni Wasn’t great in defence and didn’t have much chance to shine in attack.

6 Darren Atkins Had some bright moments on the counter. Didn’t always make the right decision but set up Homer’s first try very well. Needs to improve his defence to become a proper Premiership fullback.
