Prop­erty firm help­ing farm to grow

Staff at a prop­erty firm will be fundrais­ing for Bath City Farm over the next 12 months as their new char­ity of the year. HPH Com­mer­cial Prop­erty in Kingsmead Square will hold a range of ac­tiv­i­ties to sup­port the farm as well as of­fer­ing prac­ti­cal help through ad­vice and ex­per­tise. Based in White­way, Bath City Farm has grown sig­nif­i­cantly since it started in 1990 and is now home to 100 an­i­mals who are looked af­ter by 12 mem­bers of staff and more than 50 vol­un­teers. The com­mu­nity farm de­liv­ers 15 dif­fer­ent projects based around hor­ti­cul­ture, an­i­mal care and cook­ery, sup­port­ing dis­ad­van­taged and dis­abled peo­ple to de­velop new skills and con­fi­dence. Lind­say Hold­away, manag­ing di­rec­tor of HPH said they were look­ing for­ward to work­ing with the farm. The farm’s gen­eral man­ager He­len Fisher added that the sup­port from busi­nesses helps “keep them go­ing”.
