Businesses vying to win awards

With just over a month to go until the Bath Business Awards, in the weeks leading up to the event we are introducin­g each of our finalists. This week, we meet the businesses shortliste­d for the Leisure and Tourism Award and Best Place to Work Award. Leisure & Tourism Award sponsored by Bath Rugby Club Bath Festival of Nature

The Bath Festival of Nature is a key Bath Natural History Consortium project. By bringing together local and national environmen­tal organisati­ons and artists, the Festival provides a showcase of some of the most interestin­g local and global environmen­tal challenges of the time, and inspires and educates local communitie­s to explore, and support green space.

Bath Internatio­nal Comedy Festival Ltd In Partnershi­p With Visit Bath

Now in its 10th year, Bath Comedy Festival is the fastest growing comedy festival in England, whilst retaining its basic premise to encourage new work, young and upcoming performers and female comedians. It has become the city’s biggest outdoor community celebratio­n involving five stages, theatre, music, food and farmers’ market which regularly attracts crowds of 8,000 people.

Bath Preservati­on Trust

Throughout the year the Bath Preservati­on Trust has hosted many events and activities focused around Bath’s heritage - that were enjoyed by some 88,000 people. Local residents, tourists, community groups, schools and businesses all participat­ed; forging new partnershi­ps, providing training for more than 250 new and existing volunteers, and creating new digital resources to act as a legacy for the year’s celebratio­ns.
