Sloths manage to defy Death

-

Bathampton Sloths lost another toss and, with only five players, were put into bat. After some early wickets they settled to post a good score of 98 all out, against a strong Death Row team. Paul Macaulay top-scored with 25 and Nigel Cammann took 2-26. The Row then batted neatly but Sloths sneaked home with a three-run win. Russ King hit three sixes in his score of 24.

Combe Down won the toss and decided to bowl. Hinton Under 19’s started well, but lost regular wickets and were only able to set a score of 74-5. Despite losing a wicket in the first over, Combe Down achieved their target in 7.2 overs, with four wickets in hand.

Bear Flat Dads won the toss and elected to bat. Captain, Mike Child, carried his bat scoring 44. Phillippa Skelton-hook took 2-9, but could not stop a target of 105-4 being set. Bath Ladies had a flying start due to extras, but were all out for 85. Mike Child took 2-7 and Ben Sykes 2-13.
