Scala model in production

THE first of Skoda’s new compact Scala models has rolled off the production line at the Czech company’s main production plant in Mlada Boleslav. The Scala is the brand’s first model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB-A0 platform and is fitted with the latest safety systems including lane assist, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alerts. In the UK the Scala will be available with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines when the car is launched later this year.
