New franchise to turn used plastic into driveways

-

A business that uses plastic straws, bottles and food packaging to make driveways has launched a new franchise in Bath.

Oltco, a sustainable resin driveway company, says its innovative Recycle Bound product is the world’s first recycled driveway solution to help combat the global issue of plastic waste.

Made from waste plastic (straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws.

Therefore, if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 50 square metre drive, the equivalent of 150,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process.

James Gardner, from Bath, has now launched an Oltco franchise in Bath. He and his team say they are dedicated to offering customers top quality finishes combined with outstanding customer experience.

James said: “For me, a franchise with Oltco ticked all of the boxes for running my own business. From the company values and its high-quality products through to its outstanding customer care and innovative outlook, everything resonated with me.

“I am really excited to be launching this franchise and look forward to building on Oltco’s already successful business model and over the next few years, growing Oltco’s portfolio further with more territories.”

Johnny Pearce, co-director at Oltco, said: “We are truly delighted to be welcoming James into the Oltco family and can’t wait to watch Oltco grow across Bath.

“James is a perfect fit for our values-led business and shares our passion for Oltco’s industryleading products as well as our commitment to look after the world around us.

“We know that James is the right man for the job as he is totally in line with our company ethos to feel good about the work we do and the decisions we make and shared our excitement for our product Recycle Bound - the world’s first driveway solution made using waste plastic already in circulation.”

Tom Stringer, co-director at Oltco, added: “James is taking a giant leap of faith by setting up Oltco’s franchise in Bath - leaving a structured job and following his dream of running his own business. We are confident this franchise will be a huge success.”
