The Bath Live and Bath Chronicle Business Awards are back for 2020 and the Bath Pavilion will again play host to the business event of the year with broadband firm Truespeed returning as the headline sponsor

Honouring inspirational individuals and innovative companies, the Bath Live Business Awards highlight the talent that Bath has to offer by celebrating achievements and recognising professionals for their outstanding work.

Evan Wienburg, CEO of Truespeed, said: “Investing in local businesses is a huge part of Truespeed’s ethos. Whether it’s connecting them to ultrafast broadband so they can be more cost efficient and boost productivity, or by sponsoring events that celebrate their achievements, we support businesses in any way we can.”

Thomas Cock, acting senior editor for Somerset, stated: “I’m delighted to welcome back Truespeed as our title sponsor for the Bath Business Awards 2020.

“They’ve been a fantastic supporter of the event over the last couple of years, and their passion for connecting and supporting businesses and communities has been a really positive addition to our celebration of enterprise in Bath and North East Somerset.”

Jez Allman, sales director at Truespeed, said: “Truespeed’s all about community and we’re pleased to be part of a campaign that’s supporting local businesses and celebrating innovative businesses in Bath.” Ensuring no community gets left behind, Truespeed is rolling out its new full-fibre network to some of the South West’s hardest to reach areas. Truespeed is building where other providers are not in order to provide businesses and residents with a beneficial service.

Truespeed equips businesses with a service that allows them to compete locally and nationally. Their infrastructure handles the online demands of modern business and has the capability of delivering up to 10Gbps. Some of Truespeed’s clients include Thatchers Cider, local charity Send a Cow, Mendip Activity Centre, Acacia Cottages, Newton Farm Foods and the Pony & Trap gastropub in Chew Magna.

Duncan Brown, of Acacia Cottages, said: “In the Chew Valley we wondered when we’d ever get a fast and reliable broadband service. Working with Truespeed’s been great. Installation was simple and as the connection is ultrafast for both downloading and uploading, we’re now able to use previously unavailable technologies and online tools.”

Having won the UK’S Best Rural

ISP award from the Internet Service Provider Association in 2019, Truespeed is also setting its sights on the South West’s cities.

With an array of deployment methods, it’s taking on complex city builds to deliver ultrafast connectivity to urban communities. Building into Wells and Bath, their mission is to serve neglected rural and urban areas with unparalleled connectivity at their fingertips.

Mr Wienburg, Truespeed CEO, said: “Whether it’s providing connectivity that enables businesses to thrive or by working with events that celebrate local companies, we invest in businesses in anyway we can. The Bath Live Business Awards bring together the city’s best and brightest and we’re thrilled to be returning for our third year as headline sponsor.”

Information on how to put forward nominations for the Bath Live Business awards will be released in due course.
