Joy for children as author pays special visit

-

Children in Bath were given a free signed book at an author reading.

Stuart Mcdonald is a children’s writer in Trowbridge, who visited The Hub Community Centre, Mulberry Park, Combe Down.

Stuart read both his books to the children from the local community. Each child who attended received a signed copy of each book; which were purchased by the Community Chest Fund.

Stuart, inset, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed my visit and we had a fun little Q and A session after each book. They were delighted to queue up for their personalised signed copies! It was a great event!

“My latest children’s book, ‘Turtle Trouble,’ launched in August 2019 and is selling really well both online and in several zoo, aquarium and safari park gift shops across the UK.

“It’s a beautifully illustrated rhyming tale about a turtle who gets caught up in plastic waste and is rescued by a boy, who then goes on to set up a beach cleaning group. Great for schools as it’s all about recycling and pollution.

“My first book ‘The Witches’ Tea Party’ has been selling well since its launch in January 2019. It’s a really fun little story about friendship and sharing.”

Both books are aimed at children aged three to seven.

Stuart will be visiting the Trowbridge Civic Centre on Saturday, March 14 at 11am, and Devizes Library on Wednesday, March 18 at 10.30am.
