The Bristol Live and Bath Live Apprenticeship Awards nominations are still open for applications.

Whether it be yourself or someone else, we are looking for apprentices and their employers or training providers that go above and beyond in their roles. Nominations close on Wednesday, March 11, so you still have time to apply.

One of our sponsors for the event is Combe Grove hotel and retreat in Bath, which offers luxury rooms, local and organic food, and wellbeing facilities.

Not only is the 18th century manor house an ideal location for a tranquil stay, but it is also the home of an extensive apprenticeship programme.

The property was purchased in 2017 by The Elmhurst Foundation, a charity that provides a range of apprenticeships for the local community with a focus on advancing public education in health and wellness through traditional, holistic therapies and practices.

Apprenticeships are an essential part of Combe Grove, and the hotel proudly displays on its website some of their current apprentices’ case studies and experiences whilst earning and learning.

The charity and hotel are proud of their excellent training facilities and the opportunities that they provide to many people taking the first steps in their career.

The hotel offers 90 high-quality perpetual apprentice positions in a wide variety of disciplines: marketing, horticulture, property maintenance, finance, retreats and events, and many more.

The hotel also offers its apprentices perks such as free, healthy food cooked by the chefs on a working day, full and free access with a plus one to gym, pools, sauna, steam rooms, tennis courts and other leisure facilities on-site, and discounted hotel stays, beauty treatments, and restaurant food.

Since the hotel and the foundation are intent on promoting health and wellbeing they extend this ethos to their employees and apprentices to make sure that their happiness is a key factor in their career.

The long-term vision of Combe Grove is to evolve into a unique health retreat for modern living for their guests and to transform into a centre for work-based learning excellence for their apprentices.

Nurturing is at the heart of Combe Grove and The Elmhurst Foundation.

The charity’s three purposes are apprenticeships, community, and health and wellbeing, which is why they have extended their support to the wider apprenticeship community by sponsoring the Bristol Live and Bath Live Apprenticeship Awards.

The awards will be taking place at Ashton Gate Stadium on Wednesday, May 6.

With tickets available to attend the event, this is an excellent opportunity for companies and businesses to network with others that offer apprenticeship programmes and to learn about the developments in this industry sector.
