ST STEPHEN’S

-

Primary School enjoyed some competitive hockey at their after-school club session, despite the rain and latest storm onset. The Kingswood School Astroturf and floodlights allowed play to continue as Oldfield Park Juniors and St Stephen’s fielded two sides and worked hard.

Director of Spotters Hockey Sally Potter said: “It’s wonderful to see these children out enjoying their sport, and the opportunity to play on such fantastic facilities.

“Having the support of schools such as Kingswood and Beechen Cliff make it possible to provide high quality sporting experiences for children who might not otherwise have access to them, and it’s so important that we open up sport such as hockey to as many as possible, so as many children as possible get the opportunity to play.”

Spotters Hockey will be running camps open to all players across the area during the Easter holidays at Beechen Cliff School.

Potter added: “National brand Kookaburra Hockey also provide great hockey equipment as prizes for those attending our camps and we are also thankful to them.”
