Brewers’ link-up will give boost to Africa charity
A South West micro-brewer has launched a nationwide collaboration to support a Bath charity.
Tapestry Brewery has teamed up with Greene King to brew a new collaboration beer, Encounter Pale Ale, which is available now until the end of April.
Five pence from every pint sold will be donated to Bath-based charity Send a Cow – Tapestry Brewery’s charity partner.
Send a Cow works in rural Africa to provide training in farming, gender equality and enterprise skills so that families can grow their own futures, free from hunger and poverty.
Encounter Pale Ale, the palest of pale ales, is brewed with quality barley malt for sweetness, plus oats and torrefied wheat for body.
A four per cent pale ale, it is the second Greene King collaboration beer brewed with the team behind Tapestry.
Calum Doutch, co-founder of Tapestry Brewery said: “We’re so excited about this collaboration.”
And Catherine Harris, corporate partnerships executive at Send a Cow, said: “We’re delighted to join this partnership between Greene King and Tapestry.”
She added: “Corporate partnerships like these enable us to help even more families across subsaharan Africa to lift themselves out of poverty.”
