Staging the race put everyone at risk

A big thank you to the organisers of the Bath Half Marathon and their supporting councillors for showing a lack of respect and consideration for the health and wellbeing of residents and workers within B&NES.

You have, at a time of national crisis, created the foundation for everyone associated with this event to risk being exposed to a hidden virus, Covid-19.

You were urged to cancel this event, but despite knowing that Covid-19 is a deadly disease, you chose to show the event as more important than the people of B&NES.

Given the risks involved no-one has been victorious, so what part of this event was justified when people all over Europe are suffering and sadly dying? Are we looking at profit at a human price? Whatever has happened to humanity?
