Screen icons’ ranch hits market

-

asking price: $4.2 Million

Surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, this family ranch in Creston, California, more than measures up to the asking price.

But you wouldn’t just be buying a sprawling homestead on the us state’s central coast, with Freedom Farms you’d be buying a piece of hollywood history too.

The 44-acre ranch was once the family home of movie legend Debbie reynolds, star of classics like Singin’ in the rain and how The West Was Won; as well as her daughter, Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, and son, actor and producer Todd Fisher.

Debbie reynolds died from a stroke in December 2016, the day after the death of her daughter. Now, the family home is up for sale. Befitting film royalty, it’s a substantial property. There’s a living room with marble fireplace, a spacious kitchen, wood-panelled library, and a gym. It boasts six bedrooms, five bathrooms and, of course, a custom-built cinema.

It has a guest house, as well as caretaker’s quarters and an art studio. As a working ranch, there are offices, workshops and warehouses and an eight-stall equestrian barn.
