Caring residents win praise online
A Bath residents’ association has been praised for rallying together to look after the community’s most vulnerable people in line with its coronavirus plan.
The Lansdown Crescent Association sent out a letter this week proposing a number of strategies to keep everyone safe during the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
One suggestion is “buddy systems”, where neighbours look out for one another by checking on each other in person or online.
The association has also been creating a list of “willing community members” who could help people if they become unable to leave their home.
Bath Labour Party shared the letter on Twitter, praising the housing association for its “community spirit” with applauding emoji.
