Jack captures city in lockdown

-

A filmmaker has made a short video of Bath during the coronavirus lockdown.

Jack Fisher, of Walcot Street, put together his film during walks with his dog, Monty.

The 28-year-old observed social distancing measures and started filming on the day lockdown began (March 23) and finished it on Sunday (May 10).

The footage includes deserted streets, police patrols, messages of support to the NHS and the Clap.

“I grew up and now live on Walcot Street in Bath,” he said. “I work all over the world filming high-end events and DJS and musicians.

“The first film I ever made was actually of Bath (Bath in Motion) and the Bath Chronicle did a little feature on it.

“And this was the film that really kickstarted my career.

“For ‘Bath in Lockdown’ every shot I took, bar the drone footage, was done during my evening walks with my dog Monty.

“I took real care to make sure I practised social distancing whenever I was filming.”

The video has been viewed nearly 30,000 times so far.

Mr Fisher used the help of drone operator, Sam Gillespie, and graphic designer, Lucia Garcia, to complete the film.
