Law firm aims to build with two new staff
South-west based law firm Mogers Drewett has announced two new appointments to its teams in Bath, bringing new expertise to the firm in a series of recruitments.
Dominic Shard joins the Corporate Commercial team from successful London based firm BDB Pitmans, where he specialised in insolvency and distressed M&A.
He brings a wealth of experience advising company directors and insolvency practitioners on the sale and purchase of businesses in financial difficulty, including security arrangements and associated legal matters. His appointment marks a move to provide commercial clients with specialised support during a challenging period.
Tom Webb, partner and head of Corporate Commercial, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dominic to the team. Despite the current challenges we are all facing, we are determined to build on what was a record year for the Corporate Commercial team and Dominic’s appointment will undoubtedly support that aim.”
Mr Shard said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at Mogers Drewett. At a time when many businesses will be facing unprecedented challenges, I am eager to use my expertise to help clients navigate immediate requirements, while providing longer-term support that will ensure they are able to operate successfully in the new business world.”
In addition, the Private Client team welcomes solicitor Hannah Welbourn who joins from national law firm, Royds Withy King.
Her expertise includes trust formation and management, tax planning and estate administration.
Her appointment further strengthens the team’s offering as it continues to support its clients throughout the pandemic and beyond.
