Food festival to offer producers national outlet

-

Bath’s artisan food producers are invited to join the country’s largest online food market.

Wells Food Festival will give artisan producers from the South of England the chance to reach a wider audience via its new virtual shopping experience. The festival programme includes live-streamed cookery masterclasses and talks by Charlie Bigham and his team of master chefs, plus guest appearances by Masterchef judge William Sitwell.

There will also be flower arranging classes with Georgie Newby, florist and flower farmer at Common Farm Flowers, gardening tips by Charles Dowding, as well as music by the Harlem Rhythm Cats and a photography competition.

Charlie said: “2020 has been a difficult year for small food and drink businesses, who also face additional challenges due to many food festivals being cancelled - their primary opportunity to generate sales.

“Our aim is to help this artisan community by bringing the Wells Food Festival to a virtual national audience, giving foodies across the country the chance to support and buy direct from Bath’s finest makers.”
