Help tackle loneliness among elderly in charity role

-

A Bath-based charity that helps battle loneliness with technology is looking for an administrator.

Connecting Generations has worked with student volunteers from Bath Spa University since 2017 to help the elderly in Bath cope with the challenges of using technology.

They help those who need it with mobile phones and tablets in order to improve communication and avoid loneliness.

For many, keeping up with modern technology, let alone using social media is difficult when they are no longer being kept up-to-date in the workplace or have others around them to help out.

The charity is looking for a mature person to help administer the volunteers, expand the client base and tackle the changes in student life on campus in these coronavirus times.

The position will be one or two days a week, initially on a voluntary basis.

If you would like to learn more about the opportunity to work with people generations apart please contact the trustees on contact@ connecting-generations.org.uk.
