LAST weekend saw the fifth round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton, still held behind closed doors. Bath’s Josh Cook competed in his BTC Racing Honda Civic Type R and started his first race from tenth with teammate Michael Crees ninth. They had a great dice and, after the 16 laps, Cook managed to overtake Crees for ninth place. In his second race, all three BTC Racing drivers had a dice with Tom Chilton seventh, Cook despite 12kgs of ballast - eighth and Crees ninth. The third race saw Cook begin on pole with 18kgs of ballast with Chilton second. They made a great start as Cook led from start to finish in the 16-lap race in 20 minutes 46.42 seconds at a speed of 108.87mph. He also set the fastest lap of 1:16.82 during his sixth British Touring Car victory. Elsewhere, Chris Sinanan has had to unfortunately stop racing this season due to a wrist injury.
