Inglis manages four in victory

-

The Bath & District Sunday League didn’t disappoint this weekend, with 11 fixtures over the three divisions and some shock scorelines, there were many talking points.

A brace for Banks and four from Nico Inglis ruled out Willott’s single goal for hosts Heritage to see PF Loco take a convincing three points with a 6-1 win.

Kingsmead welcomed Batheaston and five different scorers gave them the win in this eight-goal showdown. Parsons, Chandler, Saunders, Conradi and Wych all came good for the home side to win 5-3 and build on last week’s good work.

Odd Down ended the run that BAS have been on by beating them 4-1 at the Lew Hill memorial Ground with strikes from Spurrey (2) at his new club, Ty Mulholland and George Butler. The battle of the Bidgood brothers this year saw Maslen score for Mason’s Radstock Albion but Adam’s Bath United matched it with a strike from Sutor to share the points.

Division Two didn’t fail to entertain either, Odd Down Reserves travelled to Lansdown but Lansdown couldn’t capitalise on home advantage as the Down took a 3-1 win back home courtesy of goals from Whittock, Clark and Presley.

All goals came in the first half of a feisty well-contested affair between Team Nathan and FC Trinity. Half an hour into proceedings Nathan were 3-0 down but then a majestic free-kick from Rowlands got them back in it, which he added to with a goal straight from the half-way line for 4-2.

Although goals of beauty, it wasn’t enough for the home team as Trinity continued their good form and matched Nathan through good finishes from Stanton, Lakeman, Mason and Coley. Gringos lost at home 3-0 to Griffin.

The third tier was also full of goals and big results. Dunkerton grabbed their second win after ruling out Rogers’ goal for Puckle Vale in their 4-1 victory. Colchoneros continue to show that they’re probably a cut above with a big 4-0 win over Heritage Reserves but the biggest win of the weekend came from Farrington as they beat Bear Flat 7-0. Welton Rangers lost 5-2 at home against Two Weir Town.
