Man, 26, faces rape charge

A man has appeared in court accused of rape following a number of incidents in Bath over the course of this year.

Damian Lasota, 26, of Southdown, was arrested on Freeview Road on Thursday, September 24. He is charged with one count of rape and three counts of sexual exposure following the alleged incidents in the Twerton area of the city.

Lasota appeared at Bath Magistrates’ Court before he was remanded in custody ahead of a future court hearing.

The charges relate to incidents which happened in the city between May and September.

No plea was given at the hearing. The case has been sent straight to Bristol Crown Court.
