Buccs fight back to earn draw

Team Bath Buccaneers battled out a 2-2 draw with Cheltenham in the Women’s Conference West on Saturday.

Amelia Barclay and Sophie Byrne struck for the Buccaneers who had trailed twice in the match. The Buccs entertain Basingstoke this Saturday.

Elsewhere in the conference, Aisling Madden hit a brace to fire the University of Birmingham 2s to a 3-1 win over Bristol Firebrands.

Sutton Coldfield’s Emma Mccabe, Laura Groves and Susan Wood were on target as they beat Clifton Robinsons 2s 3-1 away from home. Oxford Hawks won 2-0 at home to Basingstoke.

Meanwhile, Team Bath Buccaneers men’s team drew 1-1 with Sevenoaks.

Dylan Holland scored in the 63rd minute for the Buccs to equalise after the visitors had scored in the 8th minute.

The Buccs travel to Oxford Hawks on Sunday.
