MP to join green group’s talks on transport
The next Future of Transport in Bath event will be held online by the Greenpeace Bath Local Group.
The meeting, entitled A Green Recovery: The Future of Transport in Bath, will take place tonight at 7.30pm.
It will include a presentation on the national transport context, as well as presentations by Liveable Neighbourhoods in Bath, Councillor
Joanna Wright, Adam Reynolds from Walk, Ride Bath and Wera Hobouse MP. The event will conclude with a Q&A.
The organisers say transport accounts for around one third of the UK’S greenhouse gas emissions, with the vast majority coming from road transport – cars, vans and HGVS – and some key upcoming decisions by the Government will have long-lasting effects on the future of transport in Bath.
The event, they say, will be a chance to learn about transport campaigns in Bath, how this maps against the national context, and how to take action to help achieve a sustainable transport future. Sign up at https://greenwire.greenpeace. org/uk/en-gb/events/greenrecovery-future-transport-bath
