Two more arrested over airfield rave
Two more people have been arrested in connection to an illegal rave near Bath which was attended by more than 3,000 people.
People gathered at the former RAF Charmy Down airfield at Upper Swainswick on Saturday, July 18, with the rave continuing well into the night and into the next day.
Music could be heard from miles around, with people in Keynsham, Paulton, Longwell Green and Bristol reportedly being kept awake for much of the night.
Ten people had previously been arrested in connection with the event, which breached Covid restrictions in place at the time. Two more have now been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause a public nuisance.
They were a 22-year-old man from Bridgwater and a 33-year-old man from Clevedon – both have been released under investigation.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “This brings the total number of people arrested in connection with this investigation to 12, with three others interviewed voluntarily.”
