Nanny shares her top tips for busy parents

-

A woman who trained at the prestigious Norland College has shared her secrets for successful homeschooling during lockdown.

Maternity nurse and Norland nanny Louenna Hood, has shared her tips and hacks for juggling work, childcare and homeschooling on her new app.

Since graduating from Bath’s Norland College over 15 years ago, Ms Hood has worked with a number of high-profile families and children.

Using her knowledge and experience caring for children from birth to teenagers, Louenna has now collated her advice and information into her new app, Nanny Louenna.

She said: “There is no denying that parenting can be hard at times, particularly when you are sleep deprived and with often confusing and conflicting advice out there.

“I wanted to combine all the tips and tricks I’ve learnt over the years and put into one, easy-to-access place. Wherever you are or whenever you need, I’ll be in your pocket armed with reassuring information and advice to help you through your parenting journey.”

With parents having to take on more than ever during the coronavirus pandemic, Louenna has provided advice and help on every topic from feeding, bathing and changing, to sleep routines, potty training and language development.

There are also over 100 activity ideas to keep children entertained through the quieter days whilst stuck inside, as well as a section on parental mental health.

Louenna has teamed up with other industry experts including Jenni Dunman of Daisy First Aid, trainer Lily Gredley, and speech and language expert Hannah Scully.

For those homeschooling, Louenna has created two sheets parent can print out - one for homeschooling weekdays and the other for weekends - a ‘mission list.’

You can download both of these lists on the Nanny Louenna App for free.

Louenna has unlocked the chapter so everyone can access the information regardless if you subscribe to the app or not.
