Bath in Bloom open for entries

-

The annual Bath in Bloom gardening competition is now open for entries - and this year it is aiming for more applicants than ever.

Last year’s annual Bath in Bloom competition was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But with lockdown restrictions easing, organisers hope the 2021 event will be bigger than ever and are aiming to beat their usual 150 entries.

The competition aims to encourage gardening and to contribute to enhancing the local area through eye-catching, environmentally friendly gardening.

There are categories for private gardens of all sizes, community groups and allotment holders. A special category this year is for gardening with environmentally friendly methods. Bath in Bloom also wants pubs and businesses to enter and has categories for window boxes and hanging baskets.

The competition is free to enter and open to anyone within the Bath and North East Somerset area. The closing date is Monday June 7. Online entry forms are available at www.bathinbloom.org.
