Firms urged to take challenge of charity walk
Julian House is calling on big and small businesses across the area to take on its latest fundraising challenge - The Circuit of Bath Walk.
The charity is hoping its new corporate offering will inspire companies and their colleagues in B&NES, Wiltshire, Somerset and South Gloucestershire to get involved for a bit of local, friendly competition.
The sponsored walk, now in its 20th year, takes place on Sunday, September 26. It will see participants taking on a 20-mile circular route through some of Bath’s most beautiful countryside and surrounding villages, offering spectacular views of the historic city itself.
Local businesses that sign up will be entered into the head-to-head competition.
Each team will gain points based on criteria including most funds raised, most miles walked/run, most participants taking part and best photo on the day as they vie for the title of ‘Walk Champions of Bath.’
Ashley Green, marketing and communications assistant manager at financial risk managers ORX Association which took part in the walk last year, said: “We would absolutely recommend taking part in the Circuit of Bath challenge to anyone who is considering doing so.
“It was a tough 20 miles, but the sun was shining and the sights were beautiful.
“We were amazed at the level of generous support from ORX, family, and friends, who all clearly see value in the work Julian House does for the community.”
Senior community and events fundraiser Jess Gay said: “Companies will be given a tailored corporate fundraising pack bursting with ideas, helpful hints and tips on fundraising as well as acknowledgment of their support on our website and social media as well as bi-monthly leader board updates - as they all vie for that top spot!”
