Family’s tribute to ‘generous’ Gemma after fatal collision
The family of a woman who died in a car crash on the A361 have released a touching tribute to the ‘much-loved daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunty.’
Gemma Nurdin, 27, from Melksham, died in a two-vehicle collision on the A361 at Southwick on January 10.
In a statement, her family said: “Gemma was a much-loved daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunty who will be forever remembered by everyone who knew her due to her loving, generous and caring nature.
“She worked as a support worker for Mencap, a job which brought her great joy and made the most of her kind-hearted and affectionate personality.
“She also had a wide range of interests outside of work, including Disney, gaming and streaming, and through these hobbies she developed a huge network of friends across the world.
“This also led her to her boyfriend, whom she was happily planning her future with. We are devastated that their time together was cut short but are comforted by the knowledge that Gemma knew she was loved and adored.
“Additionally, she loved to spend her free time with close friends and family, often playing with her niece and nephews whom she was very fond of.
“We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during this incredibly difficult time, particularly Gemma’s best friend, who has been such a source of comfort to us.”
Wiltshire Police are continuing their investigation into the collision and have asked anyone with information to phone 101, quoting reference 54220002880.
