Chartered status a ‘commitment’ to insurer clients and staff
An insurance company with a strong presence across the West Country has achieved chartered status, allowing its staff to grow professionally.
Higos Insurance Services Ltd has offices from Bath to Somerton and from Street to Yeovil.
“By achieving chartered status, Higos has publicly committed to a customer-first approach,” said Sian Fisher, chief executive of the Chartered Insurance Institute. “We praise Higos Insurance for showing commitment to the chartered ethos.”
The Chartered Insurance Institute is a professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance profession.
Every firm that holds chartered status follows an ethical code that supports commitments to professional standards.
The commitments include putting customers’ interests first by providing a high quality of service, advice and support. Higos has committed to ongoing development of its people’s technical skills and knowledge.
“We are thrilled to achieve this important recognition of chartered status”, said Matthew Hartigan, managing director at Higos Insurance.
“The application process took nearly two years to complete and enhances our gateway to professionally improve as a business, for our customers and staff.
“Higos is committed to the further support and development of our already excellent staff.”
He added: “Higos have now made a public statement of their commitment to professional standards within business dealings, which involves their adhering to a broader ethical code.”
“From a business perspective, these include investing in the ongoing development of staff and supporting wider initiatives that benefit society with a customerfirst style”.
